Racing – Brian Angle

There are always lots of races in the Spring! The club has had good turnout at the Cherry Blossom races as well as the Garden State 10 Miler in the past. But there are plenty of local 5ks and trail races too. And for a real test, you can run the Livingston oval for 12 hours! Let the group know if you would like to do any of these races, and we can try and coordinate to get some groups together.

5/16 3 Days at the Fair, Augusta – 12 hr run

Fatih Karakurt 52.4 miles in 12 hours!

From Barb: May 1 was the 50th Anniversary of my very first run (May 1, 1976). It was just around the block from my house on West End Ave, only about ¼ mile. To celebrate 50 years, I set a goal of running around the block from my Sherbrooke Dr house (about ¾ mi).

I’ve hardly run since a bad fall in Dec 2022 when I damaged my knee. Before that fall, I was coaching my friend Maria from walking to walk/running to running.

Well Maria finished several 1/2 marathons and is improving her speed. She accompanied me on my little run to support me and then we went out for coffee. Love her to pieces.
