Rose City Racing Team

It’s time to renew your USATF-NJ membership!  Go to http://www.usatfnj.org/member/index.html to renew your membership so that you are eligible to run with the team in 2012.  We have a challenging schedule of events this year – make sure to mark your calendars for the events that are listed below.  We kick the season off with a new race – the Miles for Music 20K.  Let’s kick off the season with a strong Rose City performance!

Many people hesitate to join the team because they think they can’t do enough races.  Not true!  The Rose City team is comprised of runners who run lots of races and runners who run one race per year. There are many races where having one more person in an age group, no matter what their speed, can make the difference between having a team in that age group and not having a team.  The most important qualities in a Rose City team member are enthusiasm and a desire to do your best at every race.   If you meet those requirements, we want you on the Rose City Team!  Email me (Kathy Hale) or find me at a Saturday morning run for more information on the team.

On January 21, 2012, several Rose City Runners attended the USATF-NJ banquet on behalf of our team.  Although RC2 didn’t receive any team awards this year, several club members placed in the individual standings.  A full list of the awardees is posted at the links below; also see President Cande Olsen’s column for a listing of club members who placed in various categories.  There are photos on Facebook of the attendees having a great time!
